Joaquin Romejo de Tejada, is an anthropologist and expert in urban mobility. He has been working on formal and informal semi-collective transport in Maputo since he arrived in Mozambique in 2013, in cooperation with different stakeholders (Maputo City Council, transport oOperators, Arquitectos Sin FronterasArchitects Without Borders, UN Habitat, German Development Bank (KfW), Rede Uthende). A Member of WAZA, he is leadingleads the Urban mobility department.

 

His current work includes the a project mapping of transport corridors in the Greater Maputo with a team of field researchers, policy analysis on intermodality, as well as different projects aiming to improve in effect the access to public transport for vulnerable groups including women and the most vulnerable users.
